Lecture: COIN and the Peterborough Centre for Social Innovation present "Make the Best Ideas Happen: Social Finance for an Innovative Peterborough" from 7 - 9 p.m. at Market Hall (140 Charlotte St., Peterborough, K9H 7E8). Social finance is a tool that is helping communities realize great homegrown solutions to the problems that matter to them. Through her work at the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, Joanna Reynolds helps stakeholders adopt and customize tools to create capacity for local change and resilience. How do we make sure that the best ideas happen, in Peterborough′ Reynolds will present examples of social finance initiatives in local agricultrue, arts and culture, housing, and green energy. Since 2008, Reynolds has focused on social finance development in Canada with Social Innovation Generation National and now with MaRS Centre for Impact Investing. Reynolds has worked in the community sector for over 10 years.
